Musician, producer and vocalist Alfa Mist has announced his new album, Roulette, out 3rd October on his own label, Sekito Records. Roulette is a jazz-meets-hip-hop sci-fi concept album set in a dystopian near-future where reincarnation is a scientifically proven fact. Conceived, written and produced by Alfa, the record also features New York rapper Homeboy Sandman, British soul star Tawiah, and vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Kaya Thomas-Dyke.
In tandem with today’s announcement, Alfa has shared double single, “9 Months” and “Avoid The Drones”. 9 Months features Alfa rapping about reincarnation from the point of view of Yara, the main character in his Roulette universe, whilst Avoid The Drones is a hypnotically beautiful instrumental number. "In my world of short stories, where reincarnation is proven and real, 9 Months explores corruption over different lifetimes, and Avoid The Drones finds Yara attempting to hide who she was in a past life”, explains Alfa.
Additionally, Alfa has also unveiled a special headline show at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall on 25th November. This hometown performance will be a unique opportunity for fans to catch him playing material from his previous releases plus several new songs from Roulette. Tickets go on sale next Friday, 13th June.
