Ria Moran - Cubico (Single)
Ria Moran Returns with Intimate Title Track Ahead of Debut Album 'Cubico'.
Liverpool-raised, London-based alt-soul artist Ria Moran has unveiled the final single ahead of her much-anticipated debut album Cubico — and it’s the title track itself.
Out now via DeepMatter Records, “Cubico” is Ria’s most personal release to date. Written from her mother’s perspective, the track is a soul-baring reflection on vulnerability, healing, and the quiet power of emotional support. It unfolds slowly, with signature silky electronics and a euphoric close that marks her as a standout voice in modern RnB and neo-soul.
Having already earned support from BBC Radio 6’s Craig Charles and Huey Morgan, Ria’s distinct sound draws from an eclectic well — think Jill Scott, H.E.R., and Cleo Sol, with flashes of Jeff Buckley and even Sonic Youth. Her work across the album blends thoughtful lyricism with bold, soulful production, shaped by a talented circle of collaborators including Luke Wynter (Lava La Rue), Tal Janes (Jordan Rakei), and Lewis Moody (CHERISE, 30/70).
More than just an album, Cubico feels like a therapy journal set to music — shaped by Ria’s experiences with psychotherapy and inspired by the work of trauma expert Gabor Maté. The result is a deeply personal, emotionally rich body of work about self-care, love and connection.
Having collaborated with Nubiyan Twist, Daniel Casimir, and Gotts Street Park, and with a MOBO nomination already under her belt, Ria Moran is poised to make her biggest mark yet with Cubico.
