Leo Waters Returns With ‘Torrential’ – A Bold New Chapter for the Rising R&B Talent.

After turning heads with his debut EP On Waters Ave, Tampa-born R&B artist Leo Waters is back with a new project that cements his rising-star status. Torrential, the second instalment in his conceptual trilogy, explores the turbulence of growth, transition, and self-discovery—all wrapped in Leo’s signature cinematic sound.

Released independently in late 2024, On Waters Ave amassed over 30 million streams and earned critical acclaim from outlets like Complex, Billboard, and Pigeons & Planes. With co-signs from SZA, Ty Dolla $ign, and a feature with Kaash Paige, Leo’s arrival was undeniable. But it wasn’t overnight.

A self-taught dancer from Tampa, Leo chased his dreams relentlessly—leaving high school at 15 to join The Future Kingz, later becoming the group’s youngest member. Performing with artists like Billie Eilish and Coi Leray, he discovered his love for songwriting and production while touring, eventually leading the group’s debut project and landing a deal with Warner Music. But after industry setbacks, he found himself back home with nothing but determination.

Fast forward to 2023: broke but undeterred, Leo flew to LA with $10 in his pocket to attend a songwriting camp. That gamble paid off—his talent caught the attention of top producers, and his solo artist journey officially began.

Now, Torrential shows a more refined, evolved Leo Waters. Tracks like “You Deserve It” and “Marni Problems” fuse lush textures with honest, melodic lyricism, proving that Leo isn’t just navigating the storm—he’s mastering it.
