CONSCIOUS ROUTE X SUPERMANN ON DA BEAT - SHADOWS (ALBUM)

A musical extension of their early discussions, this album reflects their personalities and life experiences through both Conscious Route’s often-personal lyrics and Supermann on da beat’s production, which draws upon a slew of influences.

Keeping the guest appearances light, the duo only bring in assistance on four of the ten tracks. Stirling-based Pro Focus comes through on ‘Fashion,’ Edinburgh’s Bridget Quinn and Glasgow’s P Caso both drop in for ‘Jazz Unsung’ and additional Glaswegian lyricism from Johnny Cypher on ‘Purge’ and Jabbathakutt adds some deft scratches to the title track. The guests bring a community ethos to the release which is a direct reflection of the duos commitment to promoting local artists and up-and-coming talent that is all too frequently overlooked.
