Jay Prince Shines Bright with Debut Album and Bold New Vision.
London-born artist and creative force Jay Prince has officially stepped into a new era with the release of his long-awaited debut album, Shine. More than just a musical milestone, Shine is a deeply personal journey—one that reflects the emotional and artistic evolution Jay’s undergone since his 2016 debut.
The 14-track album fuses rap, soul, jazz, funk, and hip-hop, with an all-star cast of collaborators, including Estelle, Oddisee, Yussef Dayes, Chief Adjuah, and more. Standout new single ‘US’ brings Jay together with Dayes and the legendary Chief Adjuah, blending poetic introspection with powerful musicianship.
Written over four transformative years in LA, Shine explores themes of family, heartbreak, heritage, and hope—anchored in Jay’s trademark honesty. As he puts it: “Through hardships, the spark never died... thankfully, through patience and perseverance, we came out on the other side.”
Jay’s vision extends far beyond the studio. From his photo journey to Kinshasa to collaborations with fashion houses like Tokyo James, he’s a multidisciplinary storyteller driven by culture and connection. He’s also the founder of Lounge In Sounds, a label and platform supporting authentic artistry—where he'll host a special album launch party at The Ned on May 30.
With live shows set for KOKO’s Amplify and Love Supreme Jazz Festival, Jay Prince is more than ready to shine. This album isn’t just a debut—it’s a statement of purpose, resilience, and creative freedom.
