Native James Drops Explosive New Version of “BLOCK” Featuring Professor Green & Double S.

Grime-metal trailblazer Native James just dropped BLOCK (RR) — a hard-hitting rework of his 2023 track “BLOCK” — and it’s packing serious heat. This version swaps grime for thunderous rock/metal energy and brings in none other than Professor Green, alongside original feature Double S.

The unexpected collab came to life after Native and Pro Green crossed paths at a tattoo studio in Soho. One verse later, the two had cooked up something special. “I heard it, ran to my studio and just let it all out,” says Green, reflecting on the track’s raw, block-born energy.

For Native, BLOCK (RR) is more than just a track. “It’s about different people from the same ends building something together — a real community,” he says. “It started in a bedroom and now it’s got icons on it. Mad.”

Native’s live schedule is stacked: he headlines Sebright Arms (free show!) on 6 May, tours with Hyphen from 8–18 May, and joins letlive. for their farewell London shows this summer. Oh, and he just bagged his first MOBO nomination too. No signs of slowing down.
