Kwengface - 2 Summers (Official Video)

Peckham’s Kwengface returns with “2 Summers,” a testament to growth, resilience, and reinvention. In 2025, the rapper sheds old skins, stepping into a sound that mirrors the evolution of his mind and spirit. His bars cut sharper than ever as he unpacks the weight of two summers lost, a time marked by his freedom and belongings being taken away from him and the solace of music filling the void. For the musician, this isn’t just a new single; it reflects the artist Kwengface has become and a glimpse at the heights he’s ready to climb.

Hailing from South London, Kwengface began rapping and writing lyrics at just 12 years old. As a core member of the Drill collective Zone 2, he quickly gained recognition for his high-energy delivery, razor-sharp bars, and clever punchlines. Kweng solidified his place in the UK Drill scene with the release of “3 Stripes” in 2018—a track that remains a cornerstone of the genre. His ascent wasn’t without challenges. The controversial single “No Censor” was pulled from YouTube, leading to cancelled shows and an injunction that forced him to reconsider his future in music. Yet, Kwengface proved resilient. By 2021, he reached a turning point with his debut mixtape “YPB: Tha Come Up” and a Plugged In freestyle that went viral, amassing over 13 million views. The momentum continued in 2022, a standout year marked by the release of his acclaimed mixtape “YPB: The Archive”, a memorable performance at the Size Sessions Festival, and a high-profile collaboration with Knucks on his triple Daily Duppy.

In March 2023, Kwengface had a defining cultural moment when he revealed his identity for the first time on COLORS, captivating fans and breaking boundaries. But behind the scenes, the moment was bittersweet—while the world celebrated, Kweng was behind bars, a stark reminder of the dualities that have shaped his journey. Not letting anything get in his way in 2024, he dropped the 14-track project A Gangster’s Holiday”, packed with A-list collaborations. Over the years, he has worked with heavyweights like Dizzee Rascal, Knucks, Digga D, Tiggs Da Author, Marnz Malone, George The Poet, and Backroad Gee. With his unmatched versatility and relentless drive, Kwengface has cemented his reputation as one of the UK’s most dynamic and enduring artists.
