Nevmore - Swim Swim (Official Video)

After releasing his previous single “Fassion Weak” in March paying tribute to local artist Navinder Nangla, Nevmore returns with his brand new single ready for the summer “Swim Swim”.
The song is a jungle pop fuse which is very different to Nevmore’s style of sound being more of a chilled out vibe, Swim Swim is the tale of an after work drinking session of how one pint can become two, two becomes three and into the night they go.
Speaking on “Swim Swim” and why he chose this subject of song, Nevmore said and quote: “I wanted to take a bit of a different approach than usual, I love rapping and making more of a chilled out vibe and something you can kick back to, while I can go into trap or a little bit of garage, you’ve seen jungle take off again and become massive once again to the scene and it’s something that caught my eye and wanted to take a shot at and leave my stamp on the summer”.
The track is produced by Backseat DJ (Nevmore’s frequent collaborator Leo) who has worked with Nevmore since they first met in 2020 and working on various projects. Working with his close collaborator and music brother and why Nevmore went with Leo, Nevmore said and quote: “There’s no one else I know that loves jungle more than Leo, he’s obsessed with it and he’s always making jungle and DnB remixes of songs when in the studio and I decided to have him produce this next one as the world needs to see what he is capable of off the mic than hearing him on the mic which is where he also thrives”.
In addition to the track, the music is directed and creatively directed with by Azim “Renecide” Miah. Renecide has previously directed a music video for Nevmore which was for the track “Lena The Plug” from Nevmore’s 2023 mixtape Make Your Mind Up Son” and Nev’s last music video “Fassion Weak” Renecide has also directed music videos for other Northampton artists such as Billy Lockett, Weirdoe, and REMIEWORLD.
“I really enjoyed what Renecide and Dotmedia done for the music video for Lena, it was a no brainer to have them direct the music video again as to have something showcase mine and Azim’s creative side and have the video being in a location where you always love a drink… the pub”.
The music video is the story of a group of friends visiting the pub and having Nev going a bit too far on his first day of drinking abandoning his friends and going into a binge that goes all the way into the night and feeling the effects the next morning.
