The experimental artist, producer, collaborator and festival owner Dabieh returns with new single ‘south london.’ out 17th July on his co-owned label Cloud X. The experimental dream-pop track, co-written and co-produced with Ted Turner, pulls on the pair’s range of alt hip hop and pop influences.

Unapologetically proud of his South London roots, the Elephant & Castle celebrates the area’s richly diverse culture - where class, race, gender and sexuality collide to create the unique togetherness that the community has. Dabieh describes ‘south london.’ as: “My love letter celebrating what is quite simply the cultural capital of the world.”

He also touches on how the community faces new challenges to its harmony, as gentrification and house prices rises threaten to homogenize the area’s treasured diversity. Dabieh goes on to say: “There's a wonderful living-on-top-of-eachother-ness here that creates a social fabric of empathy. You can be on a council estate, turn one corner and be looking at a million pound house - but everyone will share the same supermarket.”

‘South london.’ follows the previous single ‘eyephone (look up).’ which was the first offering taken from Dabieh’s upcoming mixtape. Supporters of the track have included DMY, Ones To Watch, Viper, Oculate and The Pit LDN.

Succeeding across multiple disciplines, Dabieh has written, produced and executive produced records with the likes of Santino Le Saint, Fred Again, Lancey Foux, Luke Marzec, Lola Young, Manuka (Lola Young producers), TS Graye, Niels, Alabama 3, Common Goldfish, and Kevin Tuffy (Grammy award winning engineer). As a joint-co-founder of Cloud X, he is helping to pave forward the landscape of alternative music in the UK, saying: “In the last five years we’ve showcased over two hundred acts across the festival and live events,” he begins. “We’ve done over six hundred million streams. We’ve contributed to the prestige, alongside our peers in a way that I think is undeniable.”

Dabieh is both an architect, and facilitator of creative prowess, empowering the next generation to move forward with integrity, exploration and passion in mind. Cloud X’s summer festival has become the UK’s leading independent festival for R&B, soul and alternative rap, and has crafted a hallmark in British youth cultural calendars.

Dabieh’s dexterity continues to shine, providing out of the box musical moments for new-age music-lovers.
