Tamara Mneney - Winner (Heartbreak of the Year) (Single)

Today, we introduce you to Tamara Mneney, the Danish-Faroese alt-R&B singer, with new single “Winner (Heartbreak of the Year)”, out now on Force Majeure Records.

The new single adds to Tamara’s growing popularity, following the acclaimed 2023’s EP, Perks of a Wild Heart and helps to further solidify her as a rising star of the genre.

“Winner” is a mature exploration of heartbreak."When you're in the midst of a heartbreak, everything feels impossible, and you can't see yourself on the other side of it” Tamara says, “Now that I'm on the other side, I see all that I learned from the heartbreak. It was truly the 'heartbreak of the year' for me, and I honestly can't help but smile, when I look back. I see now how much it made me grow.”

Tamara has been making waves since her debut in late 2022. Hailing from the small village of Fuglafjørður in the Faroe Islands, with roots in Tanzania, Tamara's music is deeply personal and reflective of her diverse heritage.

2024 has been a whirlwind year for the singer, that’s included a growing live presence and other incredible opportunities - including a defining and standout performance at Vegas Udvalgte. This release is about to be followed by a performance at Roskilde, and in addition, she’s set to light up stages at The Word Awaits and New Note Festivals.

Tamara’s live performances have been praised for their emotional depth and captivating energy, making her a must-see act this summer. Fans can look forward to hearing this powerful new song live, experiencing the raw emotion and growth that Tamara pours into her music.

This is the first release that the singer will be releasing music under her full name Tamara Mneney. On this decision, “It makes sense to embrace my full name in its entirety. I’m going back to my roots, with pride of where I come from. My music reflects my personal journey and I want my name to do the same”.
