Dheezy x Young Trav - EDS ACADEMY:RAP 101 (Album)

Dheezy and Young Trav team up with Boot Camp Clik and co (!), for this world class lesson in Hip-Hop.

'EDS ACADEMY:RAP 101' pays homage to the essence of Hip-Hop and Rap culture, it's not Pop or Club music, this is for the real Hip-Hop heads. Both the East and West Coast scenes are represented and blended seamlessly together, with a blend of Aussie influence from Dheezy that makes the whole thing bang on a whole new level.

The new project explores many facets of Hip-Hop music, from tracks that are straight up bars without any chorus, to catchy hooks...no stone is left unturned.

Including gangsta anthems like ‘You Don’t Want The Smoke’ feat. Smif-n-Wessun, to the feel good times of ‘Ride’ feat. Kurupt Dina Rae.

Dheezy said: “At one point in the process I thought Kurupt was gonna get mad at me, he was heading into the booth to record his verse, but somebody else also asked me to go in well. We both ended up in kinda of stalemate, but Kurupt was like, nah man you go first…

I nailed it on the first take, he gave me props and said I smashed it, so that was a good feeling!”

With such a star-studded lineup there really is something for everyone in this EP, from the Boot Camp Clik connections of Sean Price, Buckshot, Rim Da Villin, Ruste Juxx, Rockness Monsta and Smif-n-Wessun, to KXNG Crooked, Planet Asia, Lil Wayne, Yukmouth, Jah-Free, Kurupt and Dina Rae.

With Vinny Idol providing production for most of the record, it’s a real treat, plus guest production from Westlyfe and Vodka Gravas putting the icing on the cake.

Following on from this, Dheezy has his sights set on bringing home a Gold album by next year, and it's safe to say that he has positioned himself nicely to secure a sure win in the near future.

Dheezy’s debut worldwide LP will be titled “Tell Em’ Where You From”, it boasts an All Star line-up from the likes Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Nate Dogg, Akon, Onyx, Royce the 5’9”, D-12, Chris Webby and more. The project is Executive Produced by Shady Records own Kxng Crooked, A&R’d by Wu-Tang’s own M-Eighty, and even features an intro from Eminem himself.
